[ She nods, patting the chick's head. At her elbow, her Buneary peers into view. ]

As okay as they can... um, but they seem to be getting along with my other Pokémon.

That's good, at least. You might want to keep them with you, at least for a little while. It will probably make them feel better to have company...and you, too.

I think so, too. I... couldn't leave them alone, even if I wanted to.

[ They're even more upset than she is. ]

Mm. It has been nice...especially compared to how hot it was last week. Rise-san and I have been visiting Ecruteak...I really like it, here.

[ Because Rise's lost so many friends lately, too. ]

She's okay. She invited me to come traveling with her for a while...it's been good to have her as company.

What sort of things have you seen together?

Well...there are Mareep all over town right now, for one thing. They just showed up today, I think.

I've noticed them here, too... I wonder if something's happening? And the weather is a bit cooler than usual...

If there are a lot of them in other areas they aren't usually found, they might be swarming. This happened last year, too.

Swarming... someone did tell me about that. It's not very common, is it?

Not usually. It happens every now and then; sometimes if the weather changes or for no reason at all...lots of the same type of Pokemon will appear everywhere, or in certain areas, sometimes.

Then it's very random?

It seems to be, yes. The swarms themselves usually don't last for very long, though...maybe a week or so at the most.

That really isn't a very long time... It seems like an incredible opportunity, though, to get Pokémon that aren't very common.

It is very useful for that, yes. Most of the time the Pokemon that show up aren't native to the area anyway...when those Espurr and Furfrou showed up last year, we hadn't even seen Pokemon like them before.

Do new Pokémon often show up?

I don't think so. From what I heard, that wasn't something that had happened before. At least, not very recently, anyway.

So it's very special when it does happen...
