[ If you've spoken to Naminé before, you might notice she looks far more at ease now. Being around people who actually like her and mean her no harm has done wonders for her, and there's even a small, content smile there. She's sitting cross-legged on the floor, and in her lap is a Chikorita.

Making sure not to disrupt the sleeping Pokémon, she holds up a (probably familiar) feather. ]

... Is it normal to have things like these floating around? They're beautiful, but... I'm not sure what their use is.

[Naminé! Well, it's good to see her in high spirits after their last conversation, so, have one of Ringabel's charming smiles as he holds up a feather of his own.]

Perhaps they're simply for decorative purposes, or maybe they carry some form of enchantment. Whatever their use may be, they do make for a rather charming souvenir.

[ Will she ever not blush at one of his smiles? Maybe. But today is not that day. Probably nervously, she tucks a bit of hair behind her ear. ]

I thought they were rather pretty, too. My Chikorita doesn't seem to like it much, though...

Odd. Could it be due to its origins? If it came from a bird, then I can see why it'd be wary. As I seem to recall, grass types are weak to flying type attacks.

[But is that really all there is to it? Perhaps there's some deeper meaning. Some dark secret behind the feathers.]

Yes... maybe that's it. I don't think Li would get spooked by nothing, after all...

[ It's the easiest explanation, and Naminé would rather not entertain the thought of something more sinister. ]

Perhaps you could comfort her? If she's wary of the feather, then you could always reassure her that it's harmless. They seem like rather smart creatures, so I'm sure she'd understand.

[That's assuming said Chikorita is a girl, of course. The name does sound somewhat feminine.]

[shatterings]

[ In a fifty-fifty chance of being right or wrong, you're wrong, Ringabel. But it's not a big deal--Naminé simply hugs Li closer after she's set the feather down, far enough away. In response, the Chikorita coos softly. ]

... Mm. He... seems to like hugs a lot, at least. I'll just try not to get it too close to him.

[...Oops. Well, that's a bit awkward, prompting a sheepish smile on his part.]

So he's the gentle sort, eh? It sounds like you've found quite the loyal companion.

And have you had any luck forming new friendships?

[shatterings]

[ His smile causes one of her own, a soft and quiet one. ]

I think they're all very loyal. [ They certainly aren't shy with their affection, at least. ]

A few, yes. [ Which is one of the reasons she looks a little more sure of herself, which is something she... really hasn't recognized herself. ]
