[ If you've spoken to Naminé before, you might notice she looks far more at ease now. Being around people who actually like her and mean her no harm has done wonders for her, and there's even a small, content smile there. She's sitting cross-legged on the floor, and in her lap is a Chikorita.

Making sure not to disrupt the sleeping Pokémon, she holds up a (probably familiar) feather. ]

... Is it normal to have things like these floating around? They're beautiful, but... I'm not sure what their use is.

Naminé...

[Lightning looks relieved. A little sad, too, because she can tell that her younger friend looks happier. It tugs at her heart and leaves a bitter taste in her mouth. She's happy, though, for her happiness.]

You look well. I've gotten some of those. My Vulpix picked some up as we were walking.

Lightning.

[ That little smile widens, and she gives her a small wave. ]

So do you. I'm sorry we haven't spoken much lately. How have you been? [ There's a pause, and she gently sets down the feather. ] I think a lot of people have found them. There must be a use for them, but...

[She sets her camera down on a dresser and sits on a bed. She's obviously in a hotel room, through her window the Sprout Tower can be seen swaying. There's also several Pokémon littered about the bed.]

Traveling. I'm seeing what I can before I make a decision.

Who knows... my other Pokémon are hesitant to touch them.

[ Wow, Lightning's managed to get pretty far. Though, she has to wonder if her friend has gotten Fly yet. ]

I know you'll make the right one. [ Unshakable faith in virtually everyone but herself. ] Mm... Li, my Chikorita, found it and brought it over. After that, he didn't like getting near it.

[She gently pets the sleeping Vulpix beside her. She's got a feather tucked between some of her tails.]

It'll be hard to make. If I make it, it'll be a long while before we see each other in person again.

I see... Sinopa insisted on keeping one of the feathers. I let her, since she seems so smitten with it.

[ That does make her sad--and it shows. Transparency can be a pain like that. ]

Well... we'll just have to communicate like this, then.

Really? It doesn't look so bad like that.

[She bites her lip at this. She feels horrible about telling her like this, but Lightning had no other choice.]

Yes. More frequently, too. I want to know what you've been doing.

She thinks to, too.

I haven't been up to much. I've been traveling with Riku and the others. [ She honestly hasn't done anything of note--she's too apprehensive about the idea of challenging a gym. Chalk it up to that inferiority complex. ] What have you been up to?

She probably won't ever let it go, will she?

[Have a chipper girl who is holding an Eevee in her arms, who just so happens to be holding a feather in its mouth.]

Wow! You got one of those, too?

You've got a good group of people to travel with. [This makes her sad. She's been so caught up in traveling that she has yet to find another companion. It'd be nice to have someone other than Pokémon to talk to.] I've beaten a gym. Going to go after another.

No. She's like that about a lot of things.

I thought they were a bit like what happened last year, when Clair sent out all her invitations droppin' random bits down from the sky...

But there ain't any notes or such with 'em. Maybe they're from a new Pokemon of some sort. Wouldn't be the first time we've had strange swarms and the like.

Pretty, aren't they? I'd thought someone'd made a mistake of shooting someone's pokemon out of the sky but... it'd prolly not be this bad if that was the case.

It's never happened before. This is something new, whatever it might be.

[She holds up her own.] There seem to be quite a lot of them, though.

I've never seen them floating around before. [Then again, she was in the middle of Ilex forest....]

They're everywhere... it can't just be from one Pokemon, right?

I don't think it is. There are too many of them for that to be true.

Did one of your Pokémon find one?

[ itisamystery.jpg. Naminé studies the feather, nods--it's the same, just like all the others. ]

Mm. A lot of people or Pokémon seem to have picked them up.

They are. I was surprised when I saw something so pretty just floating around.

[ She looks a bit horrified at that idea. Shooting a Pokémon out of the sky? ]

... Would someone really do that to a Pokémon?

Maybe... if no one knows what they're from or what they're for, maybe they are from a new Pokémon.

[ Naminé nods--and she almost tells Lightning she misses her. But that would be odd... wouldn't it? Maybe Lightning can tell she's about to say something, then stops herself before she can. ] Congratulations. I'm sure you'll be able to take them all on with no problem.

Maybe she does it to impress you.

[ Wow. Even through the video, Naminé can tell this girl has a lot of energy. ]

A lot of people have, I think.

[Part of Lighting wants to tell Naminé she misses her, too. Her mixed up feelings lately are keeping her from making any statements of affection or care for anyone. She won't let that on if she can help it.] Will you be trying for any badges? Riku could give you some good advice.

Impress me? Why would she need to do that?

I might... I'm not sure yet. [ More like she's not confident she'll be able to actually do it. Nevermind that she's got good intuition a lot of the time. Nevermind that she's been lovingly training her Pokémon. ]

Well... you're her trainer.

Really? Do you think we can keep them?

[A sudden thought strikes her.]

You're really cute, you know? Like an idol!

I'm not sure. They must serve some purpose... but I'm not sure what.

[ Oh. Yeah, Naminé's cheeks turn a fairly brilliant shade of pink, and she hugs her Chikorita a little closer. At least the little guy can sleep through pretty much everything. (Naminé thinks it's because he's still a baby. Or something.) Why people keep complimenting her appearance is a mystery, and one thing she's still not gotten used to. She doesn't think she ever will. ]

I don't... a-an idol?

I'll root for you if you do. [That brings a topic changer.] How much does Ellie miss Hope?

Even Vanille didn't try this hard.
