This might be an odd question, but how do you decide which Pokémon to catch? Do you catch every one you see, or...?

that depends! they can be very different. my steel types tend towards being more solitary creatures but i'm sure there are some that don't.

and there are many more cats than i thought there would be.

Do the same types tend to have similar personalities?

I see... so far the only cat I've seen is an Espurr.

some of them do! steel types are a very defensive type. they're only weak to fire, fighting, and ground types. many trainers have pokemon of those types, but many don't! they're also strong against fairy types which many people have picked up recently.

i have a liepard, a persian, and three espurr.

their special attack lags behind their physical attack, but that's fine for the moves they use. their defense is their best attribute.

yes. two of them started following me, and the third was a birthday present.

Do wild Pokémon often follow trainers around?

it does... it takes some time.

and some do. it depends on their personality.

most people settle in fairly quickly. though 'adjusting' can take longer. the fact that there are multiple cities here is still strange to me, for example.
