[ There's a curious someone fiddling around with her PokéGear. She's a little surprised she managed to click it on, since she's never actually dealt with much technology. ]

Ah... um, hello. [ Her surprise is replaced by a reserved sort of smile. It's pretty brittle--she's not supposed to be here. So why is she, then? Carefully, she tucks a bit of hair behind her ear. A nervous habit, but it's not one she actually notices. ] I'm a little... confused. I'm not sure what's going on, and-- [ Wait. Is that... music in the background? It's faint, and she hadn't really noticed it until she was lost in thought. ] I think I might be hearing things, but... is there music playing somewhere?

[ She lets out a little sigh and gives the Minccino beside her a pat on the head. ] I think I just need a little bit of help, or... an explanation.

I-- [ what are compliments how do what why

There's a pretty noticeable pause as she tries to compose herself. And offering her help, too? This is turning into a day of new experiences with every turn. ] ... Thank you. I... I would appreciate that, Molly.

[walkersystem]

It's okay. I know it's really weird here.

_{[She looks around the screen for a moment, frowning slightly.]}

Did you find your pokémon yet? It's like an animal, except it has powers. It'll help you, too.

[shatterings]

[ Just at that moment, Mini pokes her head up to fill the screen. It makes a series of excited squeaks, and Naminé scratches her behind one of her (rather large) ears. ]

... She's been so friendly already.

[walkersystem]

_{[omg. That's adorable. Molly is distracted for a second by the cute.]}

Yeah, they are! Did you name her?

[shatterings]

Mini. [ And Mini makes a pretty happy little noise at the name. There's a hint of a smile on Naminé's lips. Okay, so the name might be a little silly, but... ] She seems to like it.

[walkersystem]

That's really cute. Wait, hang on.

_{[She turns to the side and whistles a little to something off screen, and a Natu hops into frame and climbs up her shirt to sit on her lower arm. Molly angles the camera to show off the little bird.]}

This is Aria! She's my first one. She's been really helpful.

[shatterings]

[ So far, every Pokémon Naminé's come across is... adorable. ]

That's a nice name. [ The smile is a little easier to see. It's hard to not smile when there are so many cute critters around. ]

Um, so... how long have you been here?

[walkersystem]

Not that long. A little over two months, I think. There's a lot of stuff I don't think I understand yet either.

_{[Which she seems reasonably relaxed with at the moment, but there's a serious undertone to it.]}

[shatterings]

In a place like this... I think it'll take a long time to understand all of it.

[ Naminé looks vaguely troubled by that, and the more she thinks, the more worried she looks. She's always been pretty transparent in regards to her emotions. ]

[walkersystem]

Well ... do you know where you're supposed to go?

_{[Let's start with what she can help with, right?]}

[shatterings]

[ Everyone's been so helpful lately, it's a definite relief. She nods once. ]

Yes... Cherrygrove City. To the west.

[walkersystem]

It takes three days to go there. It's easier if you have a friend to go with, cause then you can help each other.

I mean ... your pokémon will help you, too. But it's nice with company anyway.

[shatterings]

I think I have one at least... um, a travel companion. A human one. [ It feels important to make that distinction--and it honestly probably is. ]

[walkersystem]

_{[Molly nods seriously. She'd started out the first day alone, but then she caught up with someone, and it made things a lot less scary and lonely to hang out with someone else.]}

Okay! That's good.

Did you know you have a map on the gear? It's not very good but it can help you anyway. So you don't get lost.

[shatterings]

A map... [ She concentrates as she fiddles with the Pokégear. Finally, she nods, and there's a bit of relief in her eyes. ] Oh, thank you.... it's very helpful. [ Now, hopefully, she won't get lost. ]

[walkersystem]

It's okay. It's better than not having a map at all.

<sub>[Molly has realized she has a few feelings about maps, since she got here and they weren't quite up to par.]

[She pauses for a moment, seems to think for a few.]</sub>

It's kinda scary being here at first, but ... I think you'll be okay. A lot of people are really nice. So you can pobably always get help if you ask.

[shatterings]

Mm. It is.

[ Naminé nods and hugs Mini close. ] I... think I've started getting used to things... maybe. It's a lot to take in, though. And... so many people have been so helpful already.
