[ There's a curious someone fiddling around with her PokéGear. She's a little surprised she managed to click it on, since she's never actually dealt with much technology. ]

Ah... um, hello. [ Her surprise is replaced by a reserved sort of smile. It's pretty brittle--she's not supposed to be here. So why is she, then? Carefully, she tucks a bit of hair behind her ear. A nervous habit, but it's not one she actually notices. ] I'm a little... confused. I'm not sure what's going on, and-- [ Wait. Is that... music in the background? It's faint, and she hadn't really noticed it until she was lost in thought. ] I think I might be hearing things, but... is there music playing somewhere?

[ She lets out a little sigh and gives the Minccino beside her a pat on the head. ] I think I just need a little bit of help, or... an explanation.

[Korra tilts her head, when she doesn't finish the first sentence.] That's at least a good chance of friends arriving here on regular basis? [but it is fairly frequently, yes, even if it is a nice place for kidnapping and not some kind of horror/survival thing.] Haha, sure looks like it and you two seem to get along pretty well already.

[She sounds ... hesitant or whatever it is about the battling. That just makes Korra think how she was after everything that Zaheer did to her. Before that she was always so ready to jump into every fight just like that -- But nope, that changed pretty much. She offers Namine a reassuring smile.]

Hey, it's okay to deny it if you don't want to. It's teamwork, you both need to be ready for it or else it probably won't go so well. Not that it's dangerous here, but it's never a bad idea to be careful on the road.

Well... something like that, yes. [ Honestly, any friends she might have (well, other than Axel, maybe) are already here. Anyone else who might show up would be... less than ideal. And that's something Naminé really doesn't want to consider. ] I'm surprised... I didn't think she would be so attached already. [ Not that it's a bad thing! Naminé's thankful for it. ]

... Is it? [ That does make her feel much better. Mini seems to read her emotions, and she nuzzles against her trainer's cheek. ] Teamwork... we both need to be completely certain... I don't want her to get hurt because of me.

[Well... it could also mean that enemies can come here anytime, but ehh, personally Korra wouldn't mind that so much anymore either. But seeing as she and Asami are the only ones here from their world, there's a lot of options for who might show up. Or then no one else will show up.]

Sometimes it takes time for them to get attached, but then sometimes it really... doesn't. I guess it depends on the Pokemon's personality, and us, of course.

[ those two are too cute, it's great to see people getting along with their started right from the beginning. ] And I think that shows that you're a good trainer and it certainly helps with you two being able to trust each other more easily too. There's no rush with it.

I see... They really are like people, then. [ But Naminé's having an easier time bonding with her Pokémon than people. Pokémon are a lot more honest, too, or at least the ones she's met. She does have a point: They all seem so different, and while it makes Naminé a little nervous--what if she meets one who doesn't like her no matter how long they're together?--it's a nice thought. ]

I'm not sure if I'll ever be a good trainer, but... I'll do my best. [ She pats Mini's head, and the Minccino lets out a soft trill. ] She deserves it... they all do.

Oh... I'm Naminé.

They like friendly and nice people at least. [She smiles. Or there might be some, who like the opposites but hey, let's not talk about that right now. And honestly, at least the first time Korra was here, she had a lot easier time bonding with pokemon than people considering she was from the times when she had recently arrived in Republic City... What is dealing with people after you've been stuck in the South Pole for years?]

Hey now, I'm sure you'll be great and doing your best is really just all you got to do. It's a learning experience to get to know each other and sounds like you two are having a wonderful start, they all really deserve the best.

[incomes Piplup to sit on Korra's lap, she pats his head and gestures him to wave at their new friends by waving at them herself. Piplup waves too!]

[ Korra's encouragement lifts her spirits a little. Confidence doesn't come easy, and Naminé knows that pretty well. But honestly? This place... is a little like a fresh start, maybe. Obviously she's not going to change overnight, but catching Pokémon, training them and caring for them... it's a start, a way to know she's doing something right. ]

Mm... you'll only learn by doing... right? [ Okay, that makes her cheeks flush a little bit. A wonderful start? Naminé would like to think so. It's a much better start than any other she's had before. And-- oh gosh, what a cute...! Naminé and Mini wave back at the Piplup. ]
