[ There's a curious someone fiddling around with her PokéGear. She's a little surprised she managed to click it on, since she's never actually dealt with much technology. ]

Ah... um, hello. [ Her surprise is replaced by a reserved sort of smile. It's pretty brittle--she's not supposed to be here. So why is she, then? Carefully, she tucks a bit of hair behind her ear. A nervous habit, but it's not one she actually notices. ] I'm a little... confused. I'm not sure what's going on, and-- [ Wait. Is that... music in the background? It's faint, and she hadn't really noticed it until she was lost in thought. ] I think I might be hearing things, but... is there music playing somewhere?

[ She lets out a little sigh and gives the Minccino beside her a pat on the head. ] I think I just need a little bit of help, or... an explanation.

Are you... another Xion?

Another Xion? I'm...

[ How do you tell someone that you're the other half of them? Especially if the person might be from a completely different timeline? ]

I... don't think so.

[No? So maybe there's only one Xion, then. Is she Xion 2.0, perhaps?]

Don't tell me I really do have a long-lost twin sister.

[shatterings]

[ She'd like to smile. Really, she would. But at the same time... she'd replaced Kairi in Sora's memories. Though she set things right, that's a pretty heavy burden. ]

Not... exactly. It's a bit... difficult-- [ an understatement ] --to explain over something like this.

[ And it wouldn't be right if she tried. Kairi deserves to know, face-to-face. ]

[Really, she's heard a lot of crazy stuff. Her first "sister" was made from Sora's memories and somehow looks like her. What could this one's story be?]

We could meet up in Cherrygrove City... if you wanted to.

[ Maybe it won't be as bad as she's imagining it will be. But honestly, there's a lot Naminé needs to tell Kairi. And she's not quite sure where to start. ]

[ Mini's especially curious about this person--she looks just like her trainer! ]

She's... very interested.

Oh hey, a Minccino! [She grins at the little mouse.]

Is she your starter?

[ Naminé nods and pats Mini's head. She's a lot better at this social thing than her trainer, at least. ]

Mm. I wasn't expecting something so... cute.

Most pokemon are pretty cute.

[shatterings]

I've seen a few different others... They really are cute.

[ And, because curiosity is a powerful thing-- ]

[The proud Staryu quickly pokes its way into the video screen. Lady Kairi has summoned me!]

[ It's a fit, that's for sure. Naminé gives it a little wave. Oh, wait. Now she's embarrassed. ]

... I don't think I told you my name. I'm sorry. I'm Naminé.

Naminé. That's a pretty name.

[She hugs the Staryu into her lap.]

I'm Kairi, but you probably knew that, huh?

[shatterings]

[ Everyone seems to be complimenting her name, and it brings a little flush to her cheeks. ]

I... yes. But... I don't mind you telling me.

[paopuprincess]

[She grins.]

Then it's nice to meet you.

[shatterings]

It's nice to meet you, too.

[ For real this time. Hey, Naminé even manages to crack a little smile. ]

Hey, I'm gonna come get you, okay? [She gives her a warm smile. You would think she would be used to seeing someone walking around with her face, but it just always seems strange to her.]

[shatterings]

With Riku and the others? [ There's a not-so-small part of her that feels the warmth of that smile, even if they're in completely different areas. ] ... I'll watch for you. Thank you.
