When someone close to you leaves... are there things you regret not telling them, or doing for them?
I think that's a natural way to feel. Even for a person who typically tries their best to live without regrets, sometimes having them is inevitable.

A thousand things, if I'm lucky. I've telling myself to say everything I want to say, to do everything I want to do, but that's easier said than done.
I've felt this way a few times before, but... maybe not this intensely. I think it's because with those back home, I knew I had a chance of seeing them again...

Writing them down, and maybe ticking them off when you actually do them. It'd be like a grocery list for words that matter.

You're right. I have so many friends here... it's not fair to them, I think, to be so sad.
It's... hard, trying to figure out what is most important. There's more of that here than I thought I would ever have.

Oh-- you're right. As long as I'm thinking of them... it'll all be okay.
I don't mind. I did intend to tell him, but I suppose I never knew how to approach the subject, really. And I never felt there was a right time to, not during the time he was here.
The stars never quite aligned to make it a good time, I take it?
