[ There's a curious someone fiddling around with her PokéGear. She's a little surprised she managed to click it on, since she's never actually dealt with much technology. ]

Ah... um, hello. [ Her surprise is replaced by a reserved sort of smile. It's pretty brittle--she's not supposed to be here. So why is she, then? Carefully, she tucks a bit of hair behind her ear. A nervous habit, but it's not one she actually notices. ] I'm a little... confused. I'm not sure what's going on, and-- [ Wait. Is that... music in the background? It's faint, and she hadn't really noticed it until she was lost in thought. ] I think I might be hearing things, but... is there music playing somewhere?

[ She lets out a little sigh and gives the Minccino beside her a pat on the head. ] I think I just need a little bit of help, or... an explanation.

[It seems as if a whole lot of people have answered the inevitable question of what this place is and what to do once you get here, so Chihiro decides to focus on something else. That something else being the fact that it's apparently 14 degrees out and calling for sleet all day today.]

If you haven't already decided to travel, you might want to go stay in the lab for a little while to keep warm...it is very cold outside right now.

[Hopefully she has someone that can come pick her up. If not, she's going to have a bit of a hard trip to Cherrygrove ahead.]

Oh-- [ Naminé checks her gear and nods once. ] Yes... um, I'm with two others. We've already started traveling.

[ The amount of kindness she's receiving is still a shock, and she's not sure what to do with it, other than-- ] Thank you.

Oh. I'm glad to hear that, then!

[He smiles slightly, feeling relieved to hear that. At least she'll have some people with her that already know how this place works, and all.]

[ She offers a faint smile and hugs Mini a little closer. ]

I'm Naminé.

[He smiles back, lifting his shoulders a bit as his head tilts to the side.]

It's nice to meet you, Naminé-san. My name is Chihiro Fujisaki.

[ She nods, though a little puzzled at how he addressed her. ]

It's nice to meet you, too... Um, "-san"?

Ah..."-san" is just to be polite and to show respect.

So, Naminé-san.

[ Okay, that's new. Politeness, she can understand, but respect? It's not really something she's deserving of. ]

Oh... ah, you can just call me Naminé. If... if you want. [ Maybe she's a little embarrassed about it, too. There's a slight pink tinge to her cheeks. ]

I can call you whatever you like. Just Naminé is fine.

[Even if it does feel a bit strange, he'll go with whatever makes her comfortable, after all.]

[ She only nods. The consideration is a bit new, but... it's not a bad feeling. ]

Well, um... how long have you been here, Chihiro?

Oh, well...I have been here for a year almost, now. It will be a year on the 16th, I think.

Ah... that's quite a long time. Um... happy anniversary?

[ What do you say to that, exactly? She hopes that doesn't sound too terribly awkward. ]

Thank you! Time really does go by fast, here...It doesn't even feel like it's been a whole year.

There does seem to be a lot to do... I'm surprised, too, at how fast time has gone for me.

[He nods slightly in agreement.]

...do you think you are going to like it here, Naminé?

[ The question is a little surprising, and it takes her a moment to reply. ]

... I think I already do. It's... different... from what I'm used to, but... [ But if you knew from where she came, and how she was treated by all but two people... well. ] I'm meeting so many people, and they're all so kind... It's nice.

I'm glad to hear that. It...seems like this place is that way for a lot of people.

[A second chance for many...and he's certainly one of them.]

Mm. That's what I've been hearing.

[ And it's a relief that time supposedly halts in their worlds. So this... this is a break. No Organization members to worry about, really, and she finds herself a lot more relaxed than usual. ]

So, um... what Pokémon did you start with, Chihiro?

I started with Zigzagoon. Though, he isn't one anymore...he evolved a while ago, into Linoone.

Would you like to see him?

I would like that... if you don't mind. I think Mini is interested, too.

[ Mini's still in her arms and tapping at the screen. A new potential friend? Yes, please. ]

I don't mind at all. He is usually with me, anyway.

[And as if on cue, there's a soft grunt from offscreen as something hops up onto the bed next to Chihiro, snaking his way into his lap. A sleek- if somewhat chubby- Linoone stares as the camera with wide, blue eyes, snuffling at it curiously.]

This is Isamu.

Isamu... hello.

[ He's pretty cute! Mini lets out a little chirp and waves at Isamu. It's becoming clearer and clearer that they come in all shapes and sizes. It only makes her want to get out there and explore more and more. ]

He is a Normal type Pokemon. I actually haven't seen that Pokemon you have myself before, at least not in person, but I'm pretty sure Mini is Normal type as well.

Mm. That's what my Pokédex said. [ She knows there's a lot of types of Pokémon, but it's still a little mindboggling. ] The normal types... well... they all seem very cute. [ The ones she's seen so far, anyway. ]

I like them a lot, personally. And there seem to be quite a few of them, too.
