[ There's a curious someone fiddling around with her PokéGear. She's a little surprised she managed to click it on, since she's never actually dealt with much technology. ]

Ah... um, hello. [ Her surprise is replaced by a reserved sort of smile. It's pretty brittle--she's not supposed to be here. So why is she, then? Carefully, she tucks a bit of hair behind her ear. A nervous habit, but it's not one she actually notices. ] I'm a little... confused. I'm not sure what's going on, and-- [ Wait. Is that... music in the background? It's faint, and she hadn't really noticed it until she was lost in thought. ] I think I might be hearing things, but... is there music playing somewhere?

[ She lets out a little sigh and gives the Minccino beside her a pat on the head. ] I think I just need a little bit of help, or... an explanation.

The psychic types, mostly. They can send their thoughts into our minds and speak to us that way. Some people get bothered by that, though.

[ Just at that moment, Mini pokes her head up to fill the screen. It makes a series of excited squeaks, and Naminé scratches her behind one of her (rather large) ears. ]

... She's been so friendly already.

[shatterings]

Um... Ilya helped me by giving me Riku's training guide, but...

I'm not sure where I should go from here. [ She's nervous, and she hasn't exactly looked at the map yet. Being thrown into this situation is pretty nerve-wracking. ]

[shatterings]

Riku!

[ So he looks pretty different from how she remembers. Naminé's relieved to see him, even if she does look a bit stunned by the Haunter's appearance. ]

It's... it's alright. A little surprising, but... I've had worse. [ She looks more relieved, now that she's calmed down. It's good to see a friendly face. ]

[shatterings]

No... It's definitely there.

I... it's less "waking up" than finding myself in a different place... than I expected. [ She's not sure what she expected, actually, but it's not this. This doesn't feel like any of the worlds where she's from at all. ]

[shatterings]

This happens... a lot, then? [ Naminé's relaxing, at least a little bit, though she's still pretty nervous. The Minccino in her arms is a sort of comfort, and it pats Naminé's cheeks lightly. ] I-I'm okay, Mini. Really.

[ She turns back to the girl on the screen. ] I've read a helpful guide, but... do they really... I mean, is it really okay to... battle? Do they want to so badly?

[crackpotcrocker]

Teleportation is the ability to POOF from one place to another at will.

...Mmm - what does it sound like?

[The man states as he fixes his glasses]

[shatterings]

I... That does seem a bit... intrusive.

[ Though she doesn't really have room to talk, she thinks... Still, having something inside your head is a bit hard to swallow. ]

[Ilya, however, waves off her concern.]

It's just a quicker and easier way for them to speak with us. It's not like they can actually change anything about us while they're talking.

_{[omg. That's adorable. Molly is distracted for a second by the cute.]}

Yeah, they are! Did you name her?

[shatterings]

Like... something from my own world.

[ There's a bit of hesitation in her words. She'd almost said home, but... it's not really home, is it? ]

Can they... read your thoughts or memories that way?

[crackpotcrocker]

Mmmm. Not surprising. Considering, the how certain things do over-lap with the votrexx of this multiverse point.



In fact, there's quite a few things in my world that are 'like' that.

BUT THAT'S BESIDES THE POINT!

I theorize that some legendary Pokemon with that move brought us all here...

[His voice turns ominous]

But why I can't say.

[There's a brief pause]

Personally, I'm using it for a 'new' life.

[shatterings]

Mini. [ And Mini makes a pretty happy little noise at the name. There's a hint of a smile on Naminé's lips. Okay, so the name might be a little silly, but... ] She seems to like it.

[walkersystem]

That's really cute. Wait, hang on.

_{[She turns to the side and whistles a little to something off screen, and a Natu hops into frame and climbs up her shirt to sit on her lower arm. Molly angles the camera to show off the little bird.]}

This is Aria! She's my first one. She's been really helpful.

[shatterings]

A new life...

[ Naminé thinks on that a bit, and she's quiet as she looks through Riku's guide again. ]

... Legendary Pokémon?

[shatterings]

[ So far, every Pokémon Naminé's come across is... adorable. ]

That's a nice name. [ The smile is a little easier to see. It's hard to not smile when there are so many cute critters around. ]

Um, so... how long have you been here?

[dressofheaven]

Yes, but only if their trainer orders them too. So if that happens to you it's not really the Pokemon's fault.

Unless they're wild, of course, but then they're usually too busy fighting.

[walkersystem]

Not that long. A little over two months, I think. There's a lot of stuff I don't think I understand yet either.

_{[Which she seems reasonably relaxed with at the moment, but there's a serious undertone to it.]}

[shatterings]

Mm. I'll keep that in mind.

[ Hey, she looks pretty relieved now. ]

You're welcome. Do you think you're starting to get the hang of this world?

[shatterings]

I think I am. Though... experience might help me even more.

[shatterings]

In a place like this... I think it'll take a long time to understand all of it.

[ Naminé looks vaguely troubled by that, and the more she thinks, the more worried she looks. She's always been pretty transparent in regards to her emotions. ]

Then perhaps I should let you go get some. With any luck, we'll be around to bring you into the fold in a day or two anyway.
